Dr. Laura Schlessinger
Company president, Richard Geere, has 30 years experience as an
international performer, award-winning composer and recording artist.
His
credits include BBC
Television
(London, England), Disney
(California, USA) and Sega
(Tokyo, Japan). He is also passionate about broadening the
scope of music that children listen to.
In 1991, funded by a $500,000 grant from the Herb Alpert Foundation,
Mr. Geere introduced special music programs to inner-city
schools in Los Angeles. He taught Orff-Schulwerk, Classical,
Jazz, Renaissance Recorder Ensembles and more.
Such was the impact of his teaching, Mr. Geere won the prestigious Angel Award
from the Los
Angeles Commission for Children, Youth & Families.
People
constantly under-estimate the listening ability of
children. Everything from math to worship is presented via
the rock/pop
genre, as if it's the only thing children can relate to.
Geere knows
this not to be true, and the success of his new series of
music for children proves it.
